From Personal Collapse To First Prints Of A World-wide Spring

I sold my car,  put my house up for sale, cleared it and on 27 February moved south to St. Barnabas College, Lingfield, Surrey, UK,  a care community for aged clergy and Christian workers. It provides me with two rooms, communal meals. a library with newspapers and a daily cycle of worship.

It is said that selling up is the most stressful thing in life after divorce.  Shortly before moving I had an eye operation, and until I get new spectacles  (in two eeks) I am half blind.  

Yet in my trial God provided me with three angels who are all Community of Aidan and Hilda Voyagers in first vows..

Sister Sally Simpson of Norwich accompnaied me, returned twice,  and sorted curtains etc etc. Charlotte Lobb of Northumberland, who met her husband Andrew at our Celtic Festival on Holy Island and was our first secretary at our Open Gate retreat House there,  sorted out endless transition problems off and on-line, helped to pacck and supervise the house after I left.  Sarah Haines of Ashstead, Surrey, a few miles from my new home, works part time in a hospice and has helped me with secretarial and computer problems, and is sending a friend and her son to see if they can help me on a regular basis.The nintey two year star of St. Barnabs, who agead nintey skydived to raise funds to create a signposted walk through the woods to Lingfield race coursse, drove Sarah home after she temporarily lost her keys.  SShe has invited us both to a meal. 

I have a strong sense that even as world powers promote mass selfishness, and wars engulf us, the divine footprints that are to be planted afresh in the five continents, through humble people such as those in new monastic vows, and through our writings, acts of obedience and fresh enterprises, the revolutionary prayer 'Your kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven' will move mountains.
